Police were able to catch up to Martinez on 11th Street . When they pulled him over, BPD says officers spotted a bottle of beer on the floor board of the vehicle.

Officers say he failed two field sobriety tests.

The driver of the vehicle that was struck by the suspect was transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries at the time.
