Caldwell man killed after walking in front of train

CALDWELL, Idaho (KBOI) - A 58-year-old Caldwell man died early New Years day after getting struck by a train.

Caldwell Police says Union Pacific officials tell them that a man stepped out in front of the train near Kimball and the railroad tracks at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. They found the man near 4th Avenue.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is not being released until proper next of kin notification.
