BPD: Man busted after pointing gun at vehicle

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) -- A Boise man has been booked into the Ada County Jail on allegations he waived a gun at a family in southeast Boise, authorities say.

Boise Police says a man was driving with his family as they approached Gekeler Lane and East Boise intersection on Saturday.

As he was slowing for a red light, the witness told police a man, identified as John Arthur Lee Jr., 61, pulled a handgun from his right pocket and pointed it at him. The victim quickly drove off, and went far enough until he felt safe so he could call 911.

He told police he, along with his wife and son, feared for their safety.

Officers found Lee as he was walking on Boise Avenue and found a pellet gun and two small knives. He's been booked on aggravated assault.
