82-year-old driver hospitalized after truck hits tree in Kuna

BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Police in Kuna and the Ada County Sheriff's Office are investigating a crash that sent an 82-year-old man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries Thursday afternoon.

The sheriff's office says the Kuna man lost control of his pickup truck near the intersection of Shortline and Bridge Street, which caused the truck to get a sign, fence, and a large tree before coming to rest against another tree.

Officials say the man wasn't wearing a seatbelt and suffered critical injuries. He has been taken to St. Alphonsus in Boise.

Investigators say the man may have had a medical emergency which cause him to lose control of the truck.
